A former paper stock in Copenhagen made room for Papirøen, literally meaning ‘Paper Island’. It was transformed into the city’s first Copenhagen Street Food Market, with food trucks and stalls inside it. Here you can select foods from all over the world – thai, morrocan, mexican, brazilian, indian, lebanese.

Most food stalls sell 2 or 3 items, but together they give a huge amount of choice. It’s has a rough and primitive look, but the atmosphere is great and the food is tasteful and inexpensive. You spend about 10 – 15 euro and get freshly prepared meals and drinks in return.
Papirøen is a hip hangout with a nice city view. This ‘Paper Island’ is not far from Nyhavn and accessible by a brand new modern bike and pedestrian bridge.
