Indulgent Tahini Banana Brownies
What do you need
For the brownies
  • 25 gr cocoa powder
  • 60 gr coconut oil
  • 60 gr tahini
  • 50 gr brown sugar
  • 75 gr self raising flour
  • 150 grams of dark Belgian chocolate
  • a teaspoon of ground coffee
  • 1 large banana, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of sea salt
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
For that beautiful swirl
  • 6 tiny dollops of tahini
How do you make it
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with oil.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder & cocoa powder and salt.
  4. Au bain marie, let melt the coconut oil, pieces of chocolate and brown sugar. Stir often until everything's melted & smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and add the tahini.
  6. Add the eggs, banana and vanilla, ground coffee and whisk.
  7. Then mix in the dry ingredients.
  8. Transfer to the baking pan and add a few dots of tahini. Use a knife to create swirls.
  9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes & let cool completely before cutting into squares.
